“You’ve got to find what you love, the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” Steve Jobs 2005
Which is exactly what I did when I become the owner and hands on manager of Little Angels in 2010. I had been working with children in a voluntary capacity for over 18 years and it took disillusionment with the corporate world to realise my life-long passion of making a positive difference in children’s lives.
Being a mother of two grown up children (both graduated, working and one who has recently got married – when did that happen ?!!!), I can empathise with the challenges faced by parents/carers today! I feel very privileged to be in a position of being able to nurture these precious souls in a critical period of their lives, to be able to give them the best start to their emotional well being, moral and social development and life long educational journey. Helping and supporting parents to understand the importance of the early years experiences is crucial to the well being of society.
My personal ethos has a firm foundation in developing a good character through embedding core values in the early years, skills that will stay with our children throughout their lives. The opportunity to have such a positive impact on so many lives is indeed an honour.
I am very proud of our Nursery and Preschools, the hard working passionate staff team who share the satisfaction in helping children reach their potential as we constantly strive to improve ourselves, the setting and the learning experiences we offer.
